A reminder about upcoming classes at Swansea School of Dance -
 
Due to ballet exams at the studio next week, March Break the following week and Easter weekend shortly after that, there are a number of days when there will be no classes held at the dance school. Here’s how it looks for the next few weeks:
 
Friday March 5 – PA Day – Classes on
 
Monday March 8 – Classes on
 
Tuesday March 9 to Friday March 12 – Ballet Exam week – NO CLASSES
 
Saturday March 13 – Classes on
 
Monday March 15 to Saturday March 20 – March Break -  NO CLASSES
 
Friday April 2 – Good Friday -  NO CLASSES
 
Saturday April 3 and Monday April 5 – Easter weekend – Classes on
 
Please note that for days that there are no classes, these are not class cancellations – it is all part of the planned schedule. Therefore there are no make up classes for those days. If your child will be away for any of her or his classes, she or he may come to class on another day to make up for the missed class.

There will be regularly scheduled classes on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13.

There will be NO RAD EXAM/PRESENTATION CLASSES  on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13 and SUNDAY FEBRUARY 14.

There will be NO CLASSES on MONDAY FEBRUARY 15 due to the Family Day holiday.

Income Tax receipts for class fees and camps paid in 2009 are being emailed this week. Each receipt will indicate, among other things, the student’s name, the class, the dollar amount and the relevant time period. Due to the large volume of receipts, they are being emailed in batches to prevent our computer from crashing! Your patience is appreciated.

Regularly scheduled classes resume on Saturday January 9, 2010.

The only classes being held this week are RAD rehearsal classes for exam and presentation candidates in Grades 2 to 7 as follows:

Tuesday January 5, 2010

 5:00 – 6:00  Grade 4

6:00 – 7:30   Grade 6

7:30 – 9:00   Grade 7

Wednesday January 6, 2010

5:00 – 6:00   Grade 2

6:00 – 7:00   Grade 3

Thursday January 7, 2010

4:00 – 5:00   Grade 5

5:00 – 6:30   Grade 6

6:30 – 8:00   Grade 7

There is space available in the following classes:

• Pre-Primary (5 year olds) on Wednesdays from  2:15 to 3:00pm
• Senior Hip Hop on Fridays from 6:00 to 7:00pm
• Jazz/Tap 1 on Saturdays from 1:15 to 2:15pm
• Jazz 3 on Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30am
• Superboys 1/2 (3 and 4 year olds) on Mondays from 4:00 to 4:45pm
