HAIR

Ballet  – All female Ballet students ages 5 and up must come to class with their hair in a neat bun. If the student’s hair is too short to wear in a bun, please wear hair off the face, secured with a headband or clips. Body alignment is critical in Ballet and the dance instructor needs to be able to see the line of the student’s body from the ears, the back of the neck and down the spine. Ballet students ages 3 and 4 should wear a ponytail.

Need some pointers on how to make a bun? Watch Miss Jade’s “Bun Making 101″ video for some great tips –  click on “How to Make a Bun” under the DRESS CODE bar.

Jazz, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Acro  – All female students with hair long enough for a ponytail must come to class with their hair in a neat ponytail. If the student’s hair is too short to wear in a ponytail, please wear hair off the face, secured with a headband or clips.
